World Magic Cup Recap

Teams:

There were many fantasitc teams who played very well. Some of the main teams that did well were Japan and Italy who both made a top 8. Japan was the best team in the tournament so it was really not a surprise to see them win it all. They are absoulte masters and it was great to see them play against another great team (Poland).

Decks:

Comming into the tournament everyone knew that Ramunap Red and Energy were going to be the best decks but, the third deck that was to be played by any team was a question. They could play W/U Cycling, W/U GPG, Esper GPG, U/G Pummeler, or any other deck. This was pretty hard and it was cool to see the deck choices (Especially the Italians). There was also a restriction on the cards that you could use which made the deck choices even more interesting. Cards like negate could only be played in one of the 3 decks. Overall the decks and diversity was a cool part of this event.

Coverage:

For this tournament the coverage was pretty mediocre, there were lots of 'stops'/mistakes and even with a great coverage team the transitions ere not the best.
